Today we review a fully enclosed garden gazebo by Abba Patio. This structure will shelter you and guests from the sun while creating a focal point in your yard.
Abba is a top designer and manufacturer of high quality gardening products from patio umbrellas to canopies, awnings and garden furniture sets. Each piece is sleekly designed and tested for durability.
There are some really great features to this gazebo that sets it apart from other models on the market. For one, it comes with a fully enclosed bug screen that will keep you safe from mosquitos and other biting bugs, which can be quite terrible in the summer evenings. On a beautiful warm night with friends, who wants to deal with bug bites? This gazebo will enable you to enjoy a night of drinks and conversation while the screen leaves the surrounding view open to your eyes. That said, the mosquito netting adds a bit of privacy for you, as the screen creates a bit of fog to onlookers.
The high quality woven mesh screen comes with four zippered doors, for convenience and enjoyment. You can escape/re-enter close to your seat without disturbing other guests. The screen is a nylon mesh and does a great job keeping bugs out. You can add weights to the bottoms of the curtains to keep them hanging, if you live in a rather windy area.
It measures 10×13 feet, which is the size of an average bedroom or larger. You can comfortably fit a table and chairs under this, or just some lounging furniture to enjoy summer nights.
The steel frame is of a high grade powder coated steel, meaning it resists chipping, peeling, rust and corrosion. This is a gazebo you can count on, and leave it out of doors without worrying about weather-related damage.
The gazebo top is composed of UV-treated polyester, creating durable shade that will protect you from the sun. During hot afternoons this gazebo will provide a shady haven to escape to, so you can enjoy the warm weather without suffering the sunburn. The polyester is also waterproof so you can count on this shelter to protect you from rain.
Its many wonderful, useful features make it ideal for commercial or recreational use, such as small business parties, outdoor events, camping, picnics, sporting events, or arts and crafts tables. It’s also great for family dinner parties or afternoon cocktails with friends.
There is some assembly required, but instructions have been standardized for simplicity from start to finish. It will take just over an hour to put together.
The height from ground to roof is 9.12 feet, while height from ground to lowest edge is 7.02 feet. A 6-foot person can easily walk under it.
You can customize this gazebo to some degree. There is no centre hook for a light, but you can hang string lights using zip ties, for example. The string lights will add just the right ambience.
Additionally, the canopy is vented so you can burn candles inside the canopy and smoke has somewhere to go. The venting also makes for an aerodynamic design, as the wind travels right through the roof, cutting through it, rather than catching under the roof and possibly lifting and carrying the structure away. This is a very important feature to look for in any canopy or gazebo, whether you bolt it down or not.
If you want total privacy, you can buy full privacy screens separately.
The tent will hold up well to direct sunlight. As mentioned, it is water resistant, so you can sit under the gazebo during a rainy day to enjoy summer weather and read a book or visit with friends. It will take a very heavy rain to mist through the fabric. If you want it fully waterproof, you can buy a waterproofing spray (the kind you use on shoes, etc) and apply to the top of the canopy in order to fully seal it against water.
The legs measure 1.338” in diameter, but this is a temporary structure that should be packed away during the harsh season of winter. Alternatively you can anchor the posts down, as the posts have mounts with two screw holes for mounting. That said, you should still remove the curtains/fabric for winter. You can leave the frame standing and simply roll the fabric roof into a garbage bag for the winter. It takes 5-10 minutes to install the canopy itself, so taking it down and reinstalling it is no issue.
It comes in brown, with classic style and reliable craftsmanship to endure ever-changing trends and regular use for years to come.
The fully enclosed garden gazebo by Abba Patio sells for around $300.
